One of the privileges of American Spaniel Club membership is the ability to Futurity nominate bitches and enter enrolled puppies from nominated litters at the National Specialty and Flushing Spaniel Show. Through the years, breeders who are ASC members have proudly made nominations in the belief the puppies will live up to the concept that well-bred dogs which exemplify the standard are the foundation of our breed for years to come.
Because the American Spaniel Club is dedicated to the future of our breed and in supporting our member breeders, the Board of Directors has voted to reward the winners of the ASC Cocker Spaniel Futurity with a cash award in addition to the placement checks currently offered.
Beginning with the July 2023 National, the ASC Board voted to award the winner of Best in Futurity (BIF) $1000 and will award $500 to the winner of Best of Opposite (BOS) to BIF. These awards will be presented to the BREEDER(S) of the puppies awarded BIF and BOS to BIF. The same awards will also be presented at the January Flushing Spaniel Show.

Candid Photography
ASC prohibits the use of video recording and or digital streaming devices for commercial purposes at any time at all ASC events. ASC also prohibits photography at ASC events for commercial purposes without prior written consent of the Show Chairperson and the payment in U.S. funds of a $100 candid photography licensing fee.
Commercial purposes are defined as the intent to offer photos for sale or barter, in whole or in part, for use now or in the future, or for use in any other commercial applications.

Hotel
MeadowView room block for the January 2027 Flushing Spaniel Show is now active and accepting reservations. Reservations may be made either online through the dedicated booking link below or by calling the hotel directly at 423-578-6600.
There has already been significant interest in hotel reservations, so attendees are encouraged to book early.
Judges Education
Parade of Veteran Title Holders
FEE: $20.00 ALL DOGS, 7 years or older, who are AKC Champions, or have earned Obedience, Agility, Tracking, or Hunting, WD, WDX or other AKC Titles are eligible for this noncompetitive title parade. A dog entered in this Parade of Titleholders may NOT enter regular breed classes at this show. Everyone is encouraged to come to the Parade prepared to “showcase” their dog’s area of excellence (for instance, bring an obedience dumbbell, tracking harness, bumper or bird wing). A 50 word or less description of the dogs career is to be provided no less than 48 hours in advance of the scheduled class. ASC reserves the right to edit the provided copy. A rosette will be presented to each entrant with name imprinted on it.
