Versatility Award

ASC offers a Versatility Award to members in good standing who have a Flushing Spaniel achieving at least three titles at AKC authorized events in the following categories:

a. Breed Conformation (CH – Champion)
b. Obedience/Rally (CD – Companion Dog,, RAE – Rally Advanced Excellent)
c. Field Trial
d. Hunting Test (JH – Junior Hunter)
e. Tracking (TD – Tracking Dog)
f. Agility (NA – Novice Agility, Standard Class)

Earning three titles out of the six listed is necessary — one title must be a conformation championship, one title must be in either obedience/rally or agility and one title must be in either field, hunting, or tracking. During the time the titles were earned, the Flushing Spaniel must have been owned by a member of the club. Titles may not be transferred or included for the Versatility Award by a new owner-member.  The award is a plaque with a plate engraved with the name of the flushing spaniel and the three titles with year of title. Only one plaque will be furnished by the club.  Additional plaques for co-owners or for a Performance Versatility Award may be purchased by the member.

Copies of the AKC Registration and AKC Title Certificates must be submitted to Versatility Award Chair, Jeanne Grim, DVM, by November 1. Jeanne’s contact information is skiboos@bellsouth.net.  The Versatility Award or the Performance Versatility Award is presented at the January ASC Annual Meeting .

Performance Versatility Award

ASC offers a Performance Versatility Award  to each of its members in good standing who have a Flushing Spaniel achieving a title of at an AKC-authorized event in the following categories:

  • Obedience
  • Agility
  • Field
  • Hunting
  • Tracking

Titles in three out of the five areas listed are necessary (minimum titles in parentheses) and one MUST be an obedience title (CD -Companion Dog), one MUST be an agility title (NA/NAP – Novice Agility, Standard Class, Regular or Preferred), and one MUST be either a field title, a hunting title (JH - Junior Hunter), or a tracking title (TD – Tracking Dog).

The award is given to the member applying and submitting:

  1. Copy of AKC Registration certificate
  2. Copy of AKC Obedience Title certificate
  3. Copy of AKC Agility Title certificate
  4. Copy of one other AKC Title certificate from list

During the period when two of the three titles were achieved, the Flushing Spaniel must have been owned by a member(s) of ASC. Titles may not be transferred or included for the Performance Versatility Award by a new owner-member.
